Don't you have to be in the tax 5 years in a row to do lose picks? They should still be in the tax four out of every 5 years, and on that 5th year they should be just below it. If they want to retain their talent, they'll be breaking the bank soon.
Look at Ray Ray Run
Cubs signing Souza to an MLB deal; got to figure that puts a small damper on them being Castellanos suitors.

How is Souza getting an MLB deal not even playing last year? That seems crazy to me.

demonbluess
Haniger out again. This poor kid can't catch a break. https://mlb.nbcsports.com/2020/01/23/mitch-haniger-has-setback-will-miss-opening-day/
iWiN4PreP
Doesn't seem like it's been mentioned recently on this site.... but.. Red Sox are still discussing a Mookie Betts trade with the Dodgers and Padres. Pretty crazy from the Padres to be trying this.... Dodgers I fully understand. With spending the money on Hosmer and Machado, then bringing up tatis so young, they need to improve now.

This poor kid can't catch a break. https://mlb.nbcsports.com/2020/01/23/mitch-haniger-has-setback-will-miss-opening-day/ The Mariners are so stupid. They could have traded him for a Eaton like ransom last offseason but they held onto him in the stupid ass "re tooling" (don't call it a rebuild) so Servais and Dipoto could save face. Now they will be lucky to get 200 PA and a Rutherford type for him in 2020. The Mariners are going to be really bad for a long time. I'd say there's only one team in the AL (Tigers) with a bleaker short and mid term future. Maybe Baltimore or KC are in that pool as well. They have no MLB cornerstones, a middling farm (Kelenic is nice but after that not much star power and their LA ops are even worse than the Sox'), and an ownership that seems content to let the current GM, who he hired to make the playoffs (and didn't) handle the rebuild, er, "re tool". TomPickle
I'll be very interested to see what the return was for Marte. If it's mostly just Zac Gallen would you have traded Cease for Marte straight up?

All 3 are special talents offensively, but if comparing all 3 to each other Eloy's D puts him last. But all 3 are going to be perennial All Stars IMO.
