And/or nobody nationally cares that much about Burr to do anything but report it afterwards...especially since he's currently on the shelf.

That's just not how things work though.  When a guy on a 40 man is officially DFA, it is nationally reported.  Not saying all the major guys report every DFA, but it at least gets put on MLBTR.  Pretty obvious, IMO, that is move hasn't officially occurred but they've informed Burr they plan to DFA him upon his roster spot being needed.

Yeah they put some really shit players on there.  It's definitely strange.

Well, I guess for those who have enough time on their hands to go through individual player's Twitter and Instagram feeds, it's always possible to get the news before it's officially reported...or at least speculate on cryptic posts.

Just now, Orlando said:

Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone (except you Clinton Cole)

Not sure what we celebrate but would gladly share corn and cranberry with the Seneca from the happy hunting grounds of yore.

We have no idea what the Sox have offered or if Zack is even willing to sign here.

The notion that players won't be willing to sign here needs to burn in a fire. First off, Chicago is a world class city. Hell of a place to live when you're making millions. Secondly, players almost always sign with the team that offers the most money. It's been that way and will continue to be that way.

I wish there was a way to automatically block all posts suggesting players regularly refuse millions from teams because they don’t “like” them.

I never indicated such a notion. I just can't read Zack Wheeler's mind, unlike a few of you guys apparently. For all I know, he might have it in his head that he wants to go to a specific team, town or state. Who the hell knows.
