Sox Fan Therapy thread

So Machado was worth 8/250 but Rendon wasn't worth 7/245 +? He's arguably a better baseball player.

Man, at least make the Angels work for it.

All these awesome free agents and we're gonna end up with Mazara and maybe David Price?

Pretty disappointing, to be honest. Hot take, for sure since it's still so fresh, but man... not even one whale in 2 years? May as well move this team to Rockford so they can live in a city that could only support a small market team.

I didn't. It's more about not being linked to any remaining SP targets.

But that's when the White Sox do their best work! If anyone even whispers about the White Sox having heard of a player they immediately lose interested and take their money elsewhere.

It would be an easier but longer drive so I'm not sure it's worth it. Wouldnt have to deal with people from the city though.

If we can't take advantage of those four big trades... top draft picks... unprecedented financial flexibility and the penurious AL Central, it seems almost like it will never happen.   Not when you look at the spending this offseason and what will likely be a $180~185 million average for the eight playoff teams in 2020.

It's not about that either. It's about the inability of the FO and ownership to live on planet earth rather than Uranus.

They're insulting our intelligence at this point.

Wheeler was the affordable play. Best of both worlds. Ace upside that didn't cost ace prices. It's the Certified Preowned Beamer.

Once that didn't happen, plan B should have been Strasburg/Cole. You have to go pay the sticker price now. Got to buy new.

Instead they're going to the salvage lot.

They skipped the new car dealership and went right to the beater lot.

Or they're going to cough up one of our top 3 prospects for a pitcher now.

Excellent job.

At the very least, the Sox should have been "in" on these guys until the end. Yeah, probably not going to sign them. But offer the most money and see what happens!!! Fucking owners like Arte Moreno run baseball teams like they're a hobby, our owner sucks balls. He let the Sox lose this city to the Cubs and now they're a small market team in fucking Chicago of all places, and now they can't afford or won't spent the money on the whales. They're living in the reality that they built.

We're all in this thread because we're questioning the organizational commitment to winning.

I'm starting to be convinced that Jerry and Bill Wirtz spent too much time together at the UC.
