I like the "Triple Play" series from EA Sports myself. The other ones out there is from 989 sports. EA has the best overall look and is easy to control. Yeah I guess I could have just gone with the EA name, and figured it out for myself, so when do baseball games come out to represent this upcoming season(2003) Would that be Triple Play 2003, 2004? Molto
I had All-Star baseball last year. I always used to have Triple Play, but it sucked for a couple years now. last year I had All-Star, which was pretty good and the year before I had MLB. hard to say, because anyone of them could suck this year. Mr. Showtime
The next "Triple Play" game to come out will be the 2003 version. I think those come out in March or April, I haven't seen anything on it. I'd have to take a look around.
Mr. Showtime
Ah, here we go... EA Sports changes the name of its baseball franchise. EA Sports has released details on the latest game in its baseball series, which will not carry the Triple Play name but will instead be called MVP Baseball 2003. The game will feature a revamped engine, complete with new batting and pitching interfaces. In addition, MVP Baseball 2003 will feature picture-in-picture base running, so players can view their runners, making it easier to determine whether or not to go for a steal. The game will also have an in-depth franchise mode with rookie scouting as well as other general manager functions. MVP Baseball 2003 is scheduled to ship for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox next spring. A PC version will be available in summer 2003.
Mathew
Baseball video games have sucked balls for a while, so much so that I went and bought high heat for my computer because the other games ate s*** for the consols.

I havent played a baseball video game in a few years, or video games for that matter, but with the crazy graphics and s*** nowadays, have they ever figured out how to match batter and pitcher stances and deliveries, like would Kelly Wunsch have his side arm delivery? Would Maggs have his left leg straight and right bent?
Mr. Showtime
I haven't played Triple Play since like June, so I have forgotten everything about it. I really didn't pay attention to it.
CSF
The best baseball video game would incorporate High Heat's engine, ASB graphics, & WSB extras (deep Franchise mode). That would be the perfect game;)
HawkDJ
I'm a fan of World Series Baseball.
Cerbaho-WG
High Heat Baseball. Graphics are alcking a bit, but it's the best game you can get baseball wise. Get to be your own GM, Manager, and Player. 3D0 just needs to add a financial structure, and I'd never stop playing. Here's the 2003 Sox team I built: SS: Wilson Betemit 3B: Crede DH: Frank LF: Adam Dunn RF: Magglio Ordonez 1B: Paul Konerko 2B: Some minor leaguer C: Dan Wilson CF: Minor Leaguer (Just call him Anthony Webster ) Pitching: Mark Buehrle Barry Zito Josh Beckett Jon Garland Dave Pierce (Fictional guy, f***ing amazing. His ERA is 1.5 through 80 IP) I'm in first...by alot. My bullpen is pretty weak, but I've got Koch. I traded: C Lee (hitting like .200 for A's, ha) Durham Valentin Parque Ritchie Alomar Clayton

CubKilla
I'm actually kind of partial to All-Star Baseball 2003. Some of the cool features are GM mode, management mode, and a full-season mode. AL and NL Cooperstown All-Star teams. And the coolest feature that this title offers, IMHO, is HR Derby and Batting Practice Mode's where you can take hack's at Classic Wrigley Field, Classic Yankee Stadium, The Polo Grounds, Classic Tigers Stadium, Forbes Field, and CandleStick among others. Unfortunately, Classic Comiskey is not offered on the 2003 title . Classic uniforms are also available as well as throwback jerseys. PS..... I e-mailed Acclaim, the makers of this title, earlier this year about including Classic Comiskey in the 2004 Title and they actually replied to me that Classic Comiskey is "in the works." YEAH BABY! DonkeyKongerko
yeah ASB is definitely the way to go on PS2. I would say it is the most accurate game in terms of players and their individual stances etc. Also the game has a fair amount of realism and the play-by-play is half assedly decent in this version of the game. Still like most ASB and other baseball games, you will find the majority of your scoring comes off of homeruns and that small ball is not the way to go. Especially when you switch to the "power" batting cursor.

Chisoxfn
I had All Star baseball, but this year I may go with something different. ASB has great graphics, while High Heat has a crazy franchise mode. Wait till the new ones come out (Thats my recommendation) cause I think they are all supposed to change a lot, adding in depth franchise modes etc. That new ea game sounds real cool. Cali
Thanks All for the recomendations, I guess it's down to ASB 2004 and MVP Baseball 2003, I guess I'll have to rent them both when they come out and decide for myself
