He doesn’t cost that much, we’re not cash strapped anyhow, he won’t return that much in a trade, and even if his high points last year were flukes, he’ll probably put up a mid .700s OPS as a backup catcher, giving us one of the best C tandems in MLB and allowing us to rest him or E without resorting to anything super ugly looking.

This makes no difference IMO.

Depends on what that pitcher prefers in hindsight.

Grandal’s strength of turning of low zone balls into strikes matches up perfectly with Dallas’ sinker and he really should be working primarily with Yasmani. But it may not be a decision Ricky or even Keuchel himself makes. We already know McCann is catching Giolito.. we'll see if he also catches Keuchel too. Orlando
Morosi is still listing the White Sox as interested. He has the Rangers, Cubs, Chisox and Giants as interested.

And yes, trading for Kluber and having been on Donaldson would seem to imply they want to contend. ChiSoxFanMike
For better or worse, I don’t see him signing with the Sox at this point. So I’ll be happy as long as he doesn’t go back to the Cubs. Make this offseason even worse for them.

chw42
The Rangers might actually want him to play 3B full-time as opposed to OF. I'm not sure if you're better off hiding him in a corner OF spot or 3B.

Chisox378
Sign Castellanos and put him in Center and witness a poor fielding outfiled of Jiminez, Castellanos, and Mazara but will take it because your going to get 120 doubles, and over 100 HR's. Just have Engel ready for late innings.

Castellanos has no fit, unless we trade McCann and/or Mazara. Remember, we also have that nifty hitting catcher Yermin Mercedes.
