ron883
https://www.mlb.com/news/best-baseball-video-games-in-history Agree with a lot of it. Very much disagree with the snub of either Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr or Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest for N64. Those were always my favorites. JoshPR
MVP 05 was the bomb. The show is made by the same people. I played about 22 seasons of franchise with MVP 05 until my memory card corrupted. 4

Moan4Yoan
No MLB Players Association license but Baseball Stars was awesome back in the day. Great gameplay and the players’ attributes actually dictated how well you could play with them.
reiks12
OOTP needs to be #2 behind MVP 2005. Its one of the best designed games of all time.

SonofaRoache
MVP 05 set the standard and was banned a year later because of it. The franchise mode and practice are still better than the Show. As is playing defense and baserunning. Bases loaded deserved to be in the top ten over several of those games. NCAA baseball 05 should have been in there too. The Show 19 has definitely improved since the last game I bought 16 (DL'd 19 for free off PSN in Oct) but yeah it can still feel a bit clunky. daggins
KG JR is the only one i've played extensively, definitely earned it's spot on that list.

AKA, the game was banned lol. Just like NFL 2K was superior to Madden. NFL 2K5 is still better than the later Madden games from a fun perspective. The graphics were much smoother too. Electronic Arts (EA) lost the MLB licensing to 2K Sports in 2005 because 2K Sports paid more money for it. ChiSox1917
The game never had a lot of popularity, but Microsoft Baseball 2001 was a great game. At the time it had one of the deepest off field experiences in a game. I'm partial to OOTP though as the best. No simulation game is so deep. Jerksticks
I agree MVP 05 was perfect. Haven’t really played any since. And base wars was sweet. Griffey was fun for SNES
Donny Lucy's Avocado Farm
Wait, no mention of the Billy Beane GM simulator? That game was boring AF but it had a bomb soundtrack.

Nardiwashere
MVP was the best. Ken Griffey JR for SNES is on my list as is Triple Play and OOTP.... the game I loved that didn’t make it is Legends of the Diamond for NES... you would pick your team from HOFers... anyone else remember that one? Edit: I forgot about High Heat... I had a computer version in early 2000s that I remember was super fun Edited January 11, 2020 by Nardiwashere

BackDoorBreach
For me Backyard Baseball and MLB The Show are the best. I played others in the late 90's early 2ks but I don't remember if it was RBI or what. Does anybody remember the game where you could literally take steroids? I never played it but I remembet reading about it in Tips n Tricks magazine when I was a kid.
ChiSox1917
All Star Baseball series on N64 also should be on this list, especially All Star Baseball 2001. That was the best baseball game series before MVP took over from Triple Play which had fallen off a bit Edited January 12, 2020 by ChiSox1917
