whitesox61382
You guys are all cheating my Pacers. Probably the most talented team in the East. Look for improvements from Bender and Harrington to take the Pacers to the next level. The lose of Brad Miller is minimal, and I think Pollard will be just as good as him as a STARTER in the EAST. And why do people have Orlando so high? No big man=no sucess. East 1) NJ 2) Indiana 3) Detroit 4) Philly 5) NO 6) Orlando 7) Boston 8) Milwakee West 1) LAL 2) San Antonio 3) Sacramento 4) Dallas 5) Minn 6) Phoenix 7) Houston 8) Portland LAL over Indiana in

whitesoxfan99
Why not, this year is going to be crazy. Um....Because Raef Lafrentz is their second best player and they aren't even in the top 3 teams in the East. The Nets with Mourning, Martin, Kidd, Kittles, and Jefferson are a much better team. Detroit is better and the Pacers have a lot more talent than the Celtics. Also, there is no way a team from the east takes down the Western Conference representative. whitesox61382
I don't understand the reasoning behind people picking Boston or Orlando to do well. I think Boston will be lucky to make the playoffs. They barely made the playoffs last year. They got rid of their 2nd best player AND 3rd leading scorer and top 3 point shooter AND all they got in return is a soft center and 2 guys that averaged 18 minutes COMBINED. The biggest weakness of Boston was an inside presense and rebounding, but LaFrentz does NOT help that. He is more of an outside player(something Boston has enough of) and is a TERRIBLE rebounder for his size(only 4.8 rebounds for a center is down right terrible). Boston is in worse shape after this trade and they barely made the playoffs last year, and now you think they are going to win the EAST? That makes absolutely no sense and shows a lack of common sense. Orlando is in a little better shape then Boston, but they still aren't that good. They are simply a one man team with no inside presense. They will continue to get manhandled on the inside and not even Tracey can help overcome those shortcomings. There was a reason that they barely got into the playoffs last year and they haven't addresses their weakness, so why are people so high on them? To be it is clear that the 2 most talented teams in the EAST and the only teams that stand a chance against the WEST are NJ and Indiana. They are balanced, deep, and have the size down low to dominate the EAST and hang with the WEST.
