NCsoxfan
I know it’s stupid and it’s not going to happen, but just for the heck of it, what is the MOST you would be comfortable trading for Bryant? Something like a Stiever, Dunning, and Collins is what I’d offer. Wouldn’t touch Madrigal or anyone else planning to be a major contributor this year. (I know this offer would get laughed out of the room...) Edited February 9, 2020 by NCsoxfan
ChiSoxFanMike
I don’t see Theo dealing with the Sox any time soon considering we absolutely fleeced them in the Quintana trade.
Sarava
Assuming we could put him in RF, since Moncada is a far better defensive 3B. I wonder if some kind of extension could be worked out in advance of a trade? Seems unlikely with Boras being his agent. With the Cubs seemingly disrespecting him, you'd almost think the idea of coming to the south side and killing it would be appealing to Kris. I think I'd do Vaughn + Stiever/Dunning (only one of them), plus maybe Rutherford. Would the Cubs want Vaughn while they have Rizzo? Well, Rizzo is starting to sound a bit annoyed with the Cubs and they recently refused to discuss an extension with him. Also Theo could view him as a flippable asset, even if they don't have room for Vaughn. But that's a lot to give up for just 2 years...unless he re-signs. But man would our lineup be ridiculous. iWiN4PreP
I'm of the group that feels we should be all in on trading for guys like Arenado, Bryant, Lindor (although Lindor doesn't fit us well). I would trade pretty much any prospect outside of Madrigal, and I'd even consider Madrigal if we got a really sweet deal. Wouldn't touch Roberts/Cease/Kopech obviously, but I feel we have enough in the tank to make a good deal. The 2 years on these guys make a big difference for me. I wouldn't trade for Betts for instance.

GreenSox
The Sox aren't getting any of these guys without tapping deep into young pitching. Doing that would be a good way to ensure that the Sox don't win a thing. The marginal utility from quality pitching at this point in the cycle > than marginal utility from another hitter, especially another 3B.

Leave him alone and let him grow into a gold glover, as well as an offensive monster.
Southwest Sider
It sure is fun to think about it but man, the PR hit they're taking by just exploring trades is bad... to the Sox would be an epic fail for their PR.
