caulfield12
Do we really need another Dayan Viciedo, a position-less player? It’s better to find five tool athletes and invest that money at a younger age that bid at the top of the market...it seemingly worked out well for Robert, but there have been just as many flops when you look at guys like Y.Tomas, Castillo and Olivera. The whole two-way thing is intriguing, sure, but it feels more like a marketing gimmick to compare him to Shohei Ohtani...whose stuff is a completely different league. So this guy will be like $4-5 million not $40.

Flash
Does anyone have an idea on if/how the MLB draft will be conducted if the rest of the college and possibly H.S. seasons are shut down?

The White Sox reached agreement with him for this period in addition to a bunch of other smaller signings. Their remaining money likely goes to either Cespedes or Oscar Colas. We'll see. 2

These players have been signed for like two years now and it's less than $6 million per team. No reason to wait.
Y2Jimmy0
I've had a tough time confirming anything during this pandemic. The White Sox have heavy rumored interest in Cespedes though. Today, Oscar Colas signed with Alex Cotto, the same agent that represents Norge Vera and Yoan Moncada. I'm not sure if it means anything but it's something to watch. 3
