aboz56
He's to us Cub haters as Jeffery Maier is to Yankee lovers. :fthecubs What did Jeffery Maier do.......I heard people bring his name up but never knew what he did to benefit the Yankees I think he's the kid who made Derek Jeter's hit against Baltimore in the late 90's into a HR.... Correct. Tony Tarrasco (spelling) was camped under it for an out, and that 12 year old kid reached out and robbed it, and the blind umpires called it a HR. I know they had something about him on Outside the Lines Nightly the other night, but I didn't catch all of it. Apparently he's now a pretty good baseball player in college... clujer420
I agree, what else are you supposed to do, let the ball hit you in the face while you stand there? That ball wouldn't have hit the guy in the face. You CLEAR OUT OF THE WAY and let the guy make the catch (if you're rooting for the Cubs). I do hope you know I was exaggerating Clu My point was that he didn't do anything wrong, he went after the ball, which is what any fan in that situation would do. winninguglyin83
And what about the fan who threw the wild pitch and jumped in front of Alex Gonzalez and made him miss the grounder. And they need to be really upset at the fan who gave up the hit to Derek Lee As well as the one to Mordecai. Fan, sham. you gave up 8 runs, not 3, Dusty

It would have hit him if Mo wasn't there. His arm crossed the wall to catch it. I don't agree with it.. but that guy, along with the 5 others reaching for the ball were just doing what they are conditioned to do at a ball game. Catch a ball coming at you. Too bad Wrigley has so many "diehards" in attendance that don't realize that .
winninguglyin83
If Wood is such a stud, the Cubs shouldn't have anything to worry about, right? Stud like him ought to be able to outpitch a scrapper like Redman, who got s***-canned by the Tigers, the 40-something win Tigers. No Cubbie excuses. NONE

IlliniBob72
Dusty Baker had a real chance to show some class and dropped the ball. Some idiot reporter serves him up a meatball question, asking if he has any words for the fan, and Dusty says he must've been a Marlins fan. Hey Dusty, how about you just say no and it's your professional team's responsibility to overcome obstacles and get out of the inning. I shouldn't be surprised though. Just like Dusty and the Cubs to react that way. They're done.
