Yes, the top of the talent pool is overlooked in the north due to what you listed, which is exactly why I'm so bummed... because the Sox had this kid right under their noses and the only team in Chicago paying attention was sadly the Cubs. Oh well.

On to round 2. Everything is a crap shoot in these things anyway.

Well sure, I definitely consider catcher to be up the middle, but that’s a very unique spot for obvious reasons.  2B I simply value a less than SS & CF because there is typically less fall back when it comes to positional flexibility.  IMO, our system needs more athletes that aren’t pigeon-holed to one position potentially.  That’s all I was getting at.
