2020 Schedule

This is absolutely a winnable schedule. Yes the last 14 games are tough. But think about this:

10 against Tigers
10 against Royals
4 against Pirates

24/60 games against 3 of the worst 5 teams.
Sox always win at least half of the Cubs games (3 guaranteed wins, 4 most likely)
Sox play 20 of 30 home games in August when the ball flys out the rate at high numbers

This schedule has so many great things going for it. 33-36 wins is ON THE TABLE.

The last 14 are going to be tough, but the previous 14 are against the royals, tigers, pirates, and 3 mixed in with the twins. It balances out but those last 2 weeks are gonna definitely be a test

Last four series:

Sox- 4 vs Min, 3 at Cin, 4 at Cle, 3 vs Cubs

Min- 4 at Sox, 3 at Cubs, 2 vs Det, 3 vs Cin

Cle- 2 at Cubs, 4 at Det, 4 vs Sox, 3 vs Pit

Yeah everyone is panicking about the last stretch but the Twins last 4 series is just as tough as ours is. And we get them for 4 at home.

I wonder why no double-headers? Thought with the compressed timeline, we might see a few of those to get people in and out of a city, limit the number of nights in hotels, etc.

Pretty sure they didn't want doubleheaders because of the number of hours with each other at the park. They want them in and out of there.

There will still be some rainouts, so there will still be some double headers.

Forgot about the rainouts. Wash out a two-day series and there could be major headaches. What happens if that St. Louis series or Cincinnati series hits a bad patch of weather? That could be a nightmare.
