But this is a very young, talented team. I think the defense has potential to be solid. Yoan, TA, and Madrigal all have above average potential on defense. Abreu is obviously horrendous and lazy at 1B. Robert will be an absolute stud out there. Eloy and Mazara, meh. Bottom line is the Sox have guys who are already above average or have the ability to be above average at the difficult positions. They'll be fine on defense. ron883
37-23. I'm throwing down a bet for them to win the WS. 25:1 odds? You better believe I'm taking that. I'm betting the mobile home on this one.

With as little practice as they've had over the past 9 months, you expect Anderson to take a big step forward defensively? Expressing skepticism on that. EloyJenkins
35-25. Tied for 1st with the Twins. 1 game tiebreaker...and they lose in an absolute heartbreaker. This strengthens the team together and in 2021 they will be poised to win the division and hit their 4-5 year dominant period. Highlights of 2020: -Giolito keeps to his improvements from last year, top 5 cy young candidate -Keuchel returns to #2 form and has a sub 3.40 ERA -Rodon stays healthy and is mostly effective and most likely traded in offseason -Robert plays elite defense and wins ROY with solid offensive production -Eloy leads AL in HRs -Moncada puts up great WAR numbers and warrants MVP consideration -Madrigal wins a GG as a Rookie Lowlights- -Lopez is ineffective and loses rotation spot -Herrera is DFAd mid-season after being afwul -Madrigal struggles to hit for any power, but still gets on-base -TA continues to not walk and his BA falls to sub 300. His defense still is shaky - Ricky gets a big extension even after making many questionable moves with pitching staff Overall they are going to impress, but not quite ready to win it all yet based on pitching and inexperience. flavum
Cease vs Quintana on the last day of the season. Cease wins, Eloy homers. Poor Q.

I think if that happens they get the WC (which is my prediction), so not too heartbreaking. 35-25 is the equivalent of 95 wins. I think they start choppy and make us all lose our hope/minds, then really catch fire carried primarily by Eloy, the forgotten superprospect. Robert and Moncada gain steam as the season wears on and we end the season as an offensive powerhouse paired with inconsistent starting pitching. Win WC, lose to Yankees in first round. Lots of hope heading into 2021.
