This pitching staff is putting on a clinic on how to run up the pitch count. Credit to the twins but man besides Jace these guys has flopped tonight

They’ve not thrown nearly enough breaking pitches against them.

Leury not winning over the hearts and minds of any new fans tonight.

Robert is going to have to learn to lay off the breaking stuff...he's going to get a steady diet of that for most of his rookie season.  Hopefully he can make the adjustment that all talented rookies face relatively quickly.

It took Yoan much longer than expected...and at least half a season for Eloy.

As the other guy said, Leury singlehandedly lost this game for the Sox.

Also, Giolito could pitch well the rest of the season and his numbers will still look like crap because of this game.

The only number that matters is wins.  Don’t sweat his ERA going forward.

Has grandal been calling the game?  I was wondering this a lot earlier.  Seemed to be nothing but first pitch fastballs early in the game and i thought i was seeing grandal looking into the dugout every pitch

Can the sox hire someone like Rocco Baldelli? Is it that hard to find a good baseball mind?

The last manager I really liked other than Ozzie from 2002-2008 was Torborg.

Manuel gets a lot of credit for that 2000 team and setting the tone for them, but they were an offensive juggernaut for most of that season.   Just had to fill out the line-up card and get out of the way.

I'm  not that worried. The stuff is still there, he'll be fine. Bad game against a great offense where his defense and the umpiring did him zero favors.

They deserve this. Claiming to be going for it and throwing chuck knoblauch out at second base.

Leury making me long for the days of Steve Sax out there at 2B for the Sox.
