Vulture
Fulmer would be good if he just stopped nibbling the corners constantly. Its like he's trying to make a perfect unhittable pitch every time. I have a feeling he's going to figure out he has to pitch to contact occassionally one of these days. Change of scenery might turn him around real fast. He had enough chances with the sox I suppose, but I don't know about rostering someone like Detwiler over giving him one more

We weren’t exactly bustling with expectations as a team in recent years. If anything it’ll help not being “8th overall pick Carson Fulmer” and instead being “waiver claim Carson Fulmer”

I've been firing Coop since like 2012. If Fulmer become a stud in Detroit, that needs to be his last straw.

I don't think he will bounce back after all the injuries and struggles but even if there is a 10% chance it is worth for them to find out while the sox want to win and can't afford him to learn at the ML level. Dominikk85
Oh yeah, think I mixed him up with one of the countless injured sox pitching prospects. But still those years of bad track record don't bode well for him. Or was there a single thing sox player dev messed up with him that could be reversed? ChiSoxJon
Class act all around, I remember when he signed he donated to local charities in Chicago that day Wish him the best, really wish it worked it out here because dammit he was fun at Vandy And yes, I'd rather Fulmer than Detwiler/Cordero Best of luck Kid
Texsox
Bummed to see him go. I'd cheer more if he was in a different division.
Jake
I think he has a non-zero chance of success, but not with the Sox. Wish him the best.
Dick Allen
He needs a Matt Thornton fix. Thornton like Fulmer, couldn’t throw a strike to save his life. Coop had him try something in his first bullpen session with the team and he became elite. Fulmer’s stuff has tons of movement. He has great spin rates. He just can’t get it close enough to entice swings. Then he has to groove it. If he fixes it, he will have a nice career. Odds are against it, but hopefully he can get it straitened out. But out of options and out of the strike zone isn't a good place to be for a pitcher when a team is trying to make the playoffs.

BamaDoc
I wished he had worked out. His comments are interesting as he says we were to analytics based. Cooper is always blamed for not being “modern “ enough. They don’t exactly line up.
Harold's Leg Lift
You can't shove analytics and mechanical changes down a players throat if he's not willing to receive it. You have to let him fail doing it his way first. They could have let him do that if they didn't rush him thru the minors. They failed Fulmer in many ways.
