7/26 GT - Twins at Sox - 1:10pm

Recommended Posts

Verlander hurt, out for the season...that opens up the West in both the AL and NL.   Greinke getting beaten up today.   Couldn’t have happened to a better team.

27 innings for Twins to hit, 27 runs.

Annual JR is embarrassed on behalf of long-suffering Sox fans speech coming this week?

I realize its only 3 games and Stone said the Twins are a very good team, still is it time to start worrying about this white sox starting pitching?

Stone added that this was always going to be a  4 or 5 year plan... We lost to a good team,  blah blah blah

Reduce fan expectations early.

If that was their plan....they thought wrong.

There's no more excuses.

There's no more waiting.

Theres a 16 team tournament and only 24 teams are trying to win so it will be a failure of BIBLICAL proportions if they don't make the playoffs this year when they have tons of games against trash teams like KC and DET.

No one is saying they should win the division over MINN. But we absolutely should get into the playoffs.

They have had several years to build and/or purchase a competent rotation. If ReyLo is a bust there should be reasonable alternatives by this point. IDGAF what they say.

Hahn's excuses aren't worth a pitcher of warm spit. Make the playoffs or GTFO.

I don't think it's time to panic after three games against a team that beat our brains in last year. I will say that ReyLo was the worst SP in the American League last year and that if Kopech had not opted out (and if the White Sox decided not to yank him around for service time) he would not be in the rotation.  Cease has looked very good and is our real #3 starter. Robert has looked very good so far.  Go get 'em tomorrow night and you're .500

That said, whatever they are trying against Nelson Cruz, they should try something different.

The time to start worrying was the moment we learned Kopech was opting out. That meant the more we had to rely on 1 SP coming off TJ surgery, and another who’s been mostly bad in his career.

If ReyLo was not feeling well and was maxing out at 92-93 mph in the bullpen warm-ups, maybe they should not have let him start and risk making his situation, whatever it may have been, worse. He clearly was not able to throw his fastball  with the velocity that he usually throws it.
