flavum
Slow starts stick out like a sore thumb, but this our team for the next 9 weeks, good or bad. Capn12
Good lord...Herrera will go down as such a terrible signing and waste of money.

Jack Parkman
Just now, Quin said: This game may be lost. You don't say... That being said if the Twins are gonna rake like this again, the Sox have no chance. Edited July 26, 2020 by Jack Parkman
Capn12
Don't even waste Heuer in this one, make Herrera stay out there.
caulfield12
Verlander hurt, out for the season...that opens up the West in both the AL and NL. Greinke getting beaten up today. Couldn’t have happened to a better team. 27 innings for Twins to hit, 27 runs. Annual JR is embarrassed on behalf of long-suffering Sox fans speech coming this week? tray
Benetti said that no one expected the Sox to contend with the Twins this season. Wut?
wegner
16 man pitching stuff isn't going to be enough. Need Cease, Rodon & Giolito to give us some innings in Cleveland.

Middle Buffalo
Mendick’s number and ‘stache a nod toward Jerry Dybzinski in the ‘83 unis. I like it. Might as well lean into it.
tray
Stone added that this was always going to be a 4 or 5 year plan... We lost to a good team, blah blah blah Reduce fan expectations early.
Capn12
Garbage game, that was over in the 1st inning sadly. Onwards and upwards, Tim needs to get it going, Edwin as well. Cleveland awaits.
soulfly
TA looks lost. Grandal hasn't shown much. But it's only three games in. It will get better. Go get em tomorrow.
WBWSF
I realize its only 3 games and Stone said the Twins are a very good team, still is it time to start worrying about this white sox starting pitching? We lost to a good team, blah blah blah Reduce fan expectations early. If that was their plan....they thought wrong. There's no more excuses. There's no more waiting. Theres a 16 team tournament and only 24 teams are trying to win so it will be a failure of BIBLICAL proportions if they don't make the playoffs this year when they have tons of games against trash teams like KC and DET. No one is saying they should win the division over MINN. But we absolutely should get into the playoffs. They have had several years to build and/or purchase a competent rotation. If ReyLo is a bust there should be reasonable alternatives by this point. IDGAF what they say. Hahn's excuses aren't worth a pitcher of warm spit. Make the playoffs or GTFO. Timmy U
I don't think it's time to panic after three games against a team that beat our brains in last year. I will say that ReyLo was the worst SP in the American League last year and that if Kopech had not opted out (and if the White Sox decided not to yank him around for service time) he would not be in the rotation. Cease has looked very good and is our real #3 starter. Robert has looked very good so far. Go get 'em tomorrow night and you're .500 That said, whatever they are trying against Nelson Cruz, they should try something different.
wegner
Ugly series, but you've got to have a short memory in this shortened season. Need to take it to Cleveland tomorrow.

The time to start worrying was the moment we learned Kopech was opting out. That meant the more we had to rely on 1 SP coming off TJ surgery, and another who’s been mostly bad in his career. tray
If ReyLo was not feeling well and was maxing out at 92-93 mph in the bullpen warm-ups, maybe they should not have let him start and risk making his situation, whatever it may have been, worse. He clearly was not able to throw his fastball with the velocity that he usually throws it.
