He was clearly looking for it. Shit happens. It was a hanger higher than high. I’m fine with him swinging first pitch, just need a better swing than that.

Stop pulling everything Grandal is streaky and kinda one dimensional as a hitter but he still is a good hitter for a catcher due to his walks and decent pop. He will strike out and hit .240-.250 but hit 25 homers and lots of walks. The bottom line is still solid but that type of hitter will have some empty weeks. Unless you played for King or Simeon in the late 80's or early 90's... Btw, that new Rangers' stadium looks awfully antiseptic watching from t.v., and there's been very little offense so far there. caulfield12
Watching Grandal with Crede's #24, makes one expect a bunch of flares into RF. Indians' pitching has been simply dominant so far in the early season, in both their series so far.
2Deep
We are clueless at the plate. We are in the typical White Sox hitting slump our team has at the start of just about every year that burries this team.

That's the difference in the two staffs. Plutko is essentially their #6/swingman. And Bieber has really elevated his game since last year. It helps to have tonight's home plate owner's strike zone....that's how he got 14 Opening Day. 7 strikeouts. Not to mention Clevinger is REALLY nasty. We're missing their two best and in danger of getting swept nevertheless. Edited July 29, 2020 by caulfield12
