don't agree with how he said it but beating dead horses even in game threads isn't fun either.

Nothing is fun in game threads. It’s misanthrope porn.

How is suggesting Vaughn should get development at 2nd beating a dead horse?  I said it once they started giving him reps at 3rd.

He has a lot of special skills?

Let's not forget that Yoan Moncada didn't exactly set the world on fire for 1 1/2 seasons with the White Sox.

And it took Eloy Jimenez 2-3 months to get his feet underneath him.

They have enough offense right now, they just need him to play solid, fundamental defense and stabilize the infield with Timmy Anderson out.

Obviously, he can't be putting up an OPS of 550-600, but they can live with 650-700 out of that position with all the other hitters in the line-up.

But are these issues exactly?  Outside of slapping the ball, not sure I have any idea what you are talking about.

He's swinging at pitcher's pitches and giving away at bats/outs for the sake of making contact, which is exactly what I feared most about his profile. His speed not being anywhere close to as advertised isn't good either.

Nick Madrigal has single handedly turn Soxtalk posters on each other. Amazing really.

Considering we are leading 7-0, this is the most ridiculous overreaction, perhaps, well, maybe ever.

On the plus side, it keeps everyone from feasting on "Abreu is washed up, EE is washed up, Grandal's a major disappointment..."

4-4 at this point in the season is not a tragedy.

We're still in the pole position for the 7th spot out of 8 in the playoffs, and we've lost Anderson for awhile, but the Angels might never get Trout back.

To be fair, Moncada showed certain traits that allowed you to project that it would be possible for him to succeed. His eye and his exit velocity were good when he came up.

Madrigal’s issue is that he’s incapable of hitting the baseball with any authority (so far).

I just figured these dopes would've learned their lesson when Moncada was a bust and Giolito was a headcase who needed a psychiatrist

Dude I don’t tell you how to post so don’t worry about mine. Block me and move on man, you’re pretty annoyed by me not liking his weak contact

I'm not telling you HOW to post. I'm asking you to look at WHAT you post and how dumb it sounds 7 PA's into a hitter's career. It seems like you wrote him off the day he was drafted. You could always shut the tv off

He doesn't run as fast as the almighty fathom thought!!!!!

And considering being forced to watch Carlos Sanchez for roughly 3-4 seasons, 2 games of Nick Madrigal struggling certainly is far from the end of the universe.

Trade him, Fernando Tatis, Jr., just struck out TWICE in a row!!!

I am not a huge Madrigal believer, but it’s been two games!  Some guys struggle when they come up. See Ventura, Robert. I think you gotta give Madrigal 100 ab’s or so before everyone buries him.

Alex Bregman was 0 for his first 18. Once Madrigal gets comfortable he'll be much more tolerable.
