southsider2k5
This was a great read with FS and Dunning. Really interesting to see him talk about the work different people did with him on his pitches and his pitch selection.
ron883
Awesome article. Looks like he has a 5 pitch arsenal now. 4 seamer, 2 seamer, slider, curve ball, changeup. Really excited to see how that plays out.
Baker
There are still service time considerations with Dunning. The Super 2 deadline usually falls in mid June which would equate to about game 25 on this year’s schedule. Not that they want to rush him anyhow. Maybe Jimmy Lambert was brought along too soon after his TJ.
EloyJenkins
We won the Shields Trade: “James Shields got me to go to a spiked curveball, he threw his curveball a little differently than me, and I wanted to try his out,” Dunning said. “When I tried his, it was a lot more effective and sharp. But I wasn’t throwing it consistently until I went to a spike.” “Yasmani [Grandal] switched up the grip on my changeup. Now it’s a lot more effective. The numbers on it show that it’s getting better. Coaches like Everett Teaford, who has been helping me get carry and ride on my four-seam. Now everything is getting put together, and I feel really good about it.” 2

Good attitude.
runtheballdown
This guy has really worked on his overall game. Sounds like a guy that will out think most hitters. Looking forward to seeing him in a WS uniform.
caulfield12
Will try not to hold the Florida Gators thing against him, haha. Josh Fogg also pitched there. Then you have the AJ Pierznyski fandom back to his days at Dr. Phillips in Orlando with Johnny Damon.
ron883
I wish I could find footage of him pitching during the intersquad games. Anybody know where to find that?
