So basically the entire organization is a California wildfire right now, great news!!!!! As if we don't already have enough problems surrounding the team. Well, Stone and Chip went there once with the Cubs, highly doubt Benetti is willing to stick his neck out to get it chopped off, maybe Stone's looking for a way out of the Sox booth and this is his way of nudging that door open a crack. But who REALLY knows what's going on behind the scenes? James Fegan? Joe Cowley, lol? Spymaster Cooper?
Soxfest
It’s obvious RR not long term solution
GreenSox
I'd say his answer was pretty direct; and I don't believe that Stone would leave himself hanging out to dry in front of his bosses. Stone had the choice to 1) not answer or 2) give a cookie cutter answer how he is doing a great job with the young guys. Yet he chose to tweet that. Curious.

Dick Allen
He does like to be snarky, so I am sure if he doesn’t want to admit he isn’t a fan of Renterias managing, and he has questioned bunts especially many times, he can always fall back on the question was too stupid to answer. The White Sox don’t believe in spending money on managers, so when he is replaced, it won’t be by a big name.
skooch
Just the fact that he chose to answer this question and answer it the way he did could mean there is a move imminent.

kitekrazy
Usually when I watch it's listening to opposing announcers. There's been a few times they have questioned his judgement,

Today, he said that Goldschmidt is the best player in the Cardinals lineup and letting him beat you shouldn't be in the game plan. It was subtle but hit as he intended for those paying attention.
lostfan
This reminds me of when he ended his broadcast career with the Cubs, although he was way more direct back then than he's being right now.

As others have mentioned, he gets a lot of tweets, certainly doesn’t respond to all of them. For him to decide to acknowledge that tweet....and to give that response is pretty bold. I don’t think it means Ricky is out tomorrow or anything, but again...very surprising. If they don't clean up against the Tigers, Royals and Pirates, Jirschele needs to get a chance. ron883
I can see this sparking controversy soon. Is the org more loyal to Stone or Ricky? The fans obviously like Stone much more. I think Renteria is done after this season.

Loyalty might not be the full equation, but I doubt Stone would say something unless he knows the organization is on his side or he’s tired of Jason’s jokes
southsider2k5
So with both Ozzie and Stone now saying things, was that just coincidence or is management preparing the fans for a change?

Green Line
The White Sox don't fire managers. Its what they (dont) do, even when their managers quit on the team. I especially cannot see it happening in the middle of a shortened season where the team is .500. Would love to be wrong about that!
