Chicago White Sox
Why does it seem like Cease barely uses his curveball anymore? I thought that was his elite breaking ball in the minors. Edited August 19, 2020 by Chicago White Sox

I think cease will at least be a solid 4th starter we just got young pitchers man, young pitchers will struggle, even talented ones, see scubel. White Sox pitchers seem to forget their curve balls when Donny C gets into their life.

I don't. I watch hitters react to Cease's pitches and they're all over them. Lopez part deux.

Out of all of the young-ish pitchers the Sox have the only one I'm reasonably confident about being a decent MLB pitcher is Giolito, and he's already 26 so he's not that young anymore and he only has 3 years of control left. Remember when we were good at this?

This is Cease’s 19th career start, why is he already abandoning a potentially plus offspead pitch? Him, Lopez, & Giolito were all known for plus curveballs in the minors and when they finally get to the show with us the pitch just disappears. To me it reeks of some sort of Don Cooper meddling. 1

Far too many developmental failures on the pitching sideline .. These are high draft picks that are flaming out
