It is good article. One topic you missed though is one way to tell he has really changed his philosophy to be more data driven. He no longer preaches the take something off the fastball to allow more movement. He is using the spin rate data and having them throw the 4 seam with more spin at the top of the zone and have less movement. This is a pretty drastic change.

Honestly I am just happy the "Coop will fix 'em" posts stopped. Cooper hasnt "fixed" anyone in a while. I have this gut feeling that Fulmer will turn into a serviceable pitcher eventually. Looking at his season numbers his walk rate has been cut in half despite his high ERA. Good gamble by the Tigers.
