It’s tough when you can’t have any rehab starts in AAA.   Throwing on the side in a simulated game is never the same.    Just be happy it only took him a batter or two,to find his groove!

I'm convinced that the quality of stuff of pitchers is going to vary wildly from start to start, even with fastball velocity due to the short ramp up period. It is what it is. 

What usually is a red flag that a pitcher is injured this year isn't necessarily the case this year.

You said Giolito was hurt about 5 times during the Milwaukee gamethread. Relax. When a trainer comes out, then panic. Otherwise, stop yourself
