Maybe the only good thing about no fans is the ability to quickly change game times to avoid weather.

For the record, the start time of any game can be changed with very little notice.  Years ago, I was in NY with my brother and nephew and we had planned to go to a NYY game scheduled at 7p after sightseeing that day.  We happened to tune into a radio channel in the early afternoon that was broadcasting that day’s game at that time!  They had moved up the game time to avoid a potential thunderstorm later in the day (which, as it happened, never materialized).  The game had to have been changed that morning since as of late the night before it was still scheduled for 7p.  We managed to get to the stadium to see the last three innings.

Frankly right now it's Mendick's job to lose.  If Moncada is feeling healthier Madrigal might have to ride the bench until Mendick's pixie dust wears off, and hopefully it doesn't.

Yeah, Danny has earned it. He is just. a solid ballplayer. According to BRef, he is on pace for a 4.5ish WAR season ?

Dickman dances alone now, so this is all he's got.

Dear fucking lord. That'd be just shy of Ozzie Albies last season (4.6 fWAR).

@Harold's Leg Lift's texting all the GMs in the league, getting offers on Madrigal.

Around 2.5 on fWAR but regardless he's been a very solid regular so far.

Yeah, just realized we're using bWAR in the initial post. My b.

Poor Danny Duffy. Lefty about to get LIT up. Lefty starters this season against this lineup:

The Sox haven't lost to a lefty starter yet. Let's keep it that way.

Glad they aren't sitting Mendick. Just wish you could get both him and Madrigal in the lineup at the same time. Anyone have any thoughts on if he could play a feasible RF? It's not like the bar is that high defensively with Mazara out there. Turning Mendick into a Zobrist-esque player would be mighty nice.

I was thinking that too. They could also get Moncada a day off or two this weekend and play both before playing the Twins.
