wegner
Colome making both the 8th and 9th innings "interesting" was a particular treat for the game thread.
BigHurt3515
It is nice to see we didn't spiral a bit after losing two games against the Twins. Gio needs to give us 7+ tomorrow badly
pcq
Two wins against lefties and a mediocre team.
zisk
I thought DD hung in there pretty well considering his control was awful.
quickman
Sox are winning against bad teams which is very good. They need a true veteran starter to stabilize the rotation. Next year hopefully they get one and a new closer. They are exciting and good enough to beat mis tier and lower end teams but come playoffs which team do you want to face that doesn’t have better pitching than the Sox? Our starting pitching woes are primarily from the #5 starter IMO. Doesn't play much of a role in playoff baseball. Two real good starters are the minimum requirement...and we have that. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Good hitting. Won without a HR. Moncada ready to break loose . Abreu long hitting streak ,crucial RBI's. Dunning not at best but kept us in the game. Colome one again pitches just well enough to get the job done.
bmags
This Royals team has some real dead weight (mondesi) but man the central is way better than we figured. KC is starting to show its promising future rotation and still has stars like merrifield. Not sure how Detroit is doing what its doing, but they would be in as good a position as the reds if In NL.
