And for as much as certain bears Twitter personalities are raging on Mitch - yeah. Mitch sucks.

But the rams with a backup QB and Redskins with Taylor heinicke showed much better offensively.

Even bad QB teams can put together better offenses than Nagy can. And his distraction players he’s asked for have already been moved out of the rotation (Patterson).

Hes clueless offensively. Absolutely clueless.

We will see if this statement holds up next week, but I think the Saints, when healthy, are solidly better than the Bucs.

Foles was an epic failure to this scheme.  In the end this team has a couple pieces but the organizational sum of parts from Finance guy at President on down are poorly constructed.  There is no team discipline.

Holy shit Ridley wasnt a healthy scratch.

Is Trubisky the long term answer? Absolutely not, but this team is so poorly constructed that there is no way possible to both acquire a significantly better QB and surround him with enough talent to win over the next 2 years, so give Trubisky a 2 year deal and blow everything else up around him.

We aren’t winning shit in the next two years, so why not start the rebuilding process?  Let Mitch go and give some other reclamation project like Winston a shot while also throwing a pick at a QB.  Until we get a legit QB nothing else matters.

First of all, he doesn't cost picks to acquire and he won't cost a lot of money to sign. Secondly, if you're going to rebuild you're going to have a bad team for a couple years and his mobility and relatively low turnover rate is good to have on a rebuilding type team.

You want to watch this atrocity for 2 more years?

Mitch is what he is at this point, ever since the second half of Nagy’s first year, this team has been struggling to score with him at QB. It’s time to move on.

A good QB still isn't winning anything with this roster, and acquiring a good QB limits improving other areas. I want to get the other pieces in place first before addressing QB.

Right. I don’t care about QB for the next two years. Let Foles guide them to higher draft picks. Don’t worry about skilled positions. They need to build the O line and go from there.

Maybe the Bears could use this strategy the next time they draft a QB. Trade up.

Foles is under contract for next year. Even if you don’t draft or sign a QB, there is no value of keeping Trubisky around. There is also little cap room left, they could restructure a bunch of guys, or even trade Hicks or Mack, but even then, they need to be spending money to identify guys they could develop and build around in the long term.
