I’m not a fan of any part of that idiot. His OPS has sunk to .774 so the reprieve granted to his defenders by his flukey little hot streak for a week or two is now over. That’s $70 million wasted. And bye to James McCann.

Bye to McCann, bye to this season, everybody sucks.

You're a real peach. Your act has gotten stale rather quickly

I like the cut of your gib. All these posters so worried about slumps and disadvantages. What about our advantages and our strengths ?

Dunning will be the 3 pitcher in the playoffs. Imagine the BP with Bummer , Fry, Crochet and maybe Rodon from the left side when 2 weeks ago we had none of those guys and still was kicking ass.

We are at the top in a lot of offensive categories while missing Madrigal, Moncada and Mazara for most of the season for various reasons.

Most our key guys are healthy or due back shortly.

FEAR the White Sox !

I agree with the sentiment of your post, but disagree about the number 3.

Cease lines up for number three, that is why he was slotted Sunday and Dunning today.

This is known as a "false choice fallacy." There are numerous ways to achieve both of these so comparing their value is not an actual argument against Dyson.

Hope that cleared things up.

it isnt a false choice when you have a limited number of players you can have on your roster lol

is that clearer?

Ok. We fixed something that wasn’t broken, signed yet another garbage hitter, and motivated an All-Star to almost certainly find employment somewhere else. That was a mistake.

You're right, man. Grandal is complete shit. McCann is awesome

Imagine if they hadn't signed Grandal. Then they'd most definitely not lose in the 1st round right?

Garbage hitter? Revisionist history.

Ummm... McCann's OPS was only .788 last year...

Well, figuring McCann has been the better offensive player, and better for the pitchers.  So far Grandal hasn't been as valuable.  Unless statistics are merely an annoyance to you and not actually revealing or important

Why does everyone give our front office so much leeway here? Sign Dunn, Laroche, Keppinger, trade for Frazier, oh but sure, signing low-BA power types will work this time!

No. It won’t. Grandal is more of the same. And he was an “improvement“ that wasn’t even needed. We needed a legit RF, but we screwed that one up too.

The prospects are working out great. That’s good. But if this team signs hitters or trades for them, the bigger it is, the uglier it is.

Would McCann's sheer presence have gotten the Tigers into the playoffs and helped the Sox advance to the second round?

this idea that fans complaining about what they are seeing on the field aren't real fans is ludicrous.  As if being a fan means 100% just blowing smoke at all times.  You're lying to yourself if you're not concerned about how this team will look in the playoffs.  They might win the whole damn thing, but certainly not playing like this.
