Those are all the guys I want to see in the lineup. I would drop Moncada behind McCann against the lefty . I don't think either of us will be right however.

This is what I want to see as well.  If Leury is actually back I would be fine with him in RF too.  He mashes LHP

15 years ago (!) sitting in a friend's dorm room watching the sox beating the crap out of the red sox early and basically never looking back.

Those sox playing a lot of backups suddenly got really hot over the previous weekend and their bats were suddenly not their biggest issue.

Here's hoping to that, or the starting pitching suddenly being lights out beyond gio and dk.

But overall - go sox.

Shit was so boring in June when we had nothing to talk about. Hopefully we can have fun, but I'm sure most of us will be stressed as hell. That's alright, happens when playoff baseball gets pent up for 12 years.

I remember I had class and it was a day game. It was before cell phones kept scores so I was SOL. I went back to my apartment where my friends were watching the game and already drunk. It was already a blowout and I was shocked as everyone was standing and yelling in happiness. The Red Sox hype machine was real and the analysts and commentators wanted them to beat us. I remember when Manny and Papi homered how they freezed framed both as if it were works of art. I knew after that first game that we would win the World Series.

I'm curious to see the roster moves. I'd have to imagine Lopez won't be on the roster and we can squeeze a 3rd catcher in so McCann and Grandal can be in the same lineup.

Me too. Can't leave McCann out of the lineup against any lefty anymore. EE's time should be over.

Benetti was on with Bernstein this morning.  Great listen.  You have to like Benetti as a person and when all is said and done he will go down as a great voice in sports.

Lot of love for Bob Melvin.....God I hope we do not have to rely on our staff going head to head in a thinktank mindset against them as Jason and Dan politely explained how we do not have a chance if it comes to that.

Team needs to come out hungry today.  Giolito in particular needs to be sharp from the get-go and pitch like the ace he’s capable of being.  I also want Ricky to go with an “all-in” lineup, which means no Encarnacion today whether Eloy is playing or not.  Preferably that means both Yasmani & McCann in the lineup, but obviously that depends on whether Eloy can play LF.  And most importantly, no relievers outside of the big six should get work today.  Sorry Ricky, but that means no Jimmy Cordero if/when Lucas gets pulled.

Yes, Giolito cannot put us in a hole from the start.  Ideally we put up 2 or 3 runs in the top of the 1st!
