I'd rather Abreu hunt for pitches there instead of them possibly pitching around him. I'd rather he got something to pull then - opposite field grounder. But it would have been a hit if it was just a little bit right or left.
BigHurt3515
Better keep the hitting momentum going tomorrow. Going to have to score quite a bit possibly

At the very least it's a nice stepping stone for game 3. This loss is on Keuchel and Madrigal. So it's all their fault that they couldn't have scored a couple of runs over 7 innings? It's on all of them.

thxfrthmmrs
No issues with that swing at the end. That’s a hit 7 times out of 10. He had a lot of success going the other way on pitches low and outside this year.

ShoeLessRob
Team didn’t look awake until the 7th. Can’t play 6 out of 9 innings like shit in the playoffs. Glad they didn’t just lay down, but let‘s not forget that BOTH Collins AND Dyson got ABs in a playoff game. RICKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYTTTCHSUSJSJoeirufudhwb!!!!!! 35thstreetswarm
Wow, reasonable sounding game thread (post above notwithstanding). Way to battle—let’s get em tomorrow.
maloney.adam
Abreu hit the ball hard and most of the time that would’ve been a hit. Just needed some elevation to it in that situation. The Sox should’ve won that game. Oh well, get back at them tomorrow. BTW, Abreu's ground out left the bat at 97 MPH. It had an xBA of .460. Give the A's credit for good positioning. Between that and Moncada getting robbed at the wall, we just didn't have a lot of luck today. 1
Chi Town Sox
Whatever happens game 3, let’s not be negative during the game. This team can win tomorrow and beat anybody with this offense despite a subpar manager and some stupid mistakes. Nobody wants to hear that we can’t come back in a game, just look what almost happened vs. arguably the best closer in baseball. Unless the Sox get blown out, if you’re typing something negative...”stop it, get some help” let’s go Sox!
