Well looks like we are taking steps to a Socialistic nation, dangerous thing. Soon we all may be comrades in the USSA!

What are the GOP'ers mad about? Joe got more votes be in from cadavers, illegals or repeat voters! Plus the Republicans now have 4 yrs (or 4 months) of having fun w Joe the gaffe machine which there will be new daily content! Celebrate Republicans and enjoy giving Uncle Joe the Trump treatment!! :)

Would they do that through legislation, just like the ideas of packing the courts? Seems risky to use political capital on that.

Yes, the size of the House is set by legislation. The only constitutional restriction is that each state get no more than 1 Representative per 30,000 in population but it would have to be bigger than 10,000 to violate that so they can effectively make it any size they want.

Not being Donald Trump's friend is a gift. Maybe Pence will realize it. Roy Cohn, who Trump wants everyone to be like, was gifted some diamond cufflinks by Trump. When he was raided, and assets seized by the Feds. They found the cufflinks. Turned out they were fake.

I think a lot of this can be explained by the peculiarly American form of religious thought, prosperity theology. According to to this rampant line of thought, all prosperity is from the favor of god. Those that aren’t favored are not prosperous. Therefore someone like Trump is favored regardless of his actions. If you’re laying on a boat in a drunken stupor every weekend this actually shows you are in favor since your god given prosperity has allowed you it. Meanwhile some poor kid standing up for his rights getting his head bashed in deserved it because his lack of prosperity shows he is out of favor of god. This is an actual mainstream philosophy echoing throughout the suburbs and cornfields of america.

If Trump doesn't run again in 2024, at this point who is the favorite to win the GOP primary? Pence and Cotton are charisma black holes, Hawley is too much of a dweeb, and the Trump kids are losers who are unlikely to be able to inspire the same kind of cultish loyalty their father did, especially if the GOP tries to distance themselves from Trump over the next four years. I don't see them going back to boring old establishment candidates either though. The MyPillowGuy maybe?

It's obviously Don Jr.

Just now, Dick Allen said:

I wonder if Lindsay is having any second thoughts empowering these freaks instead of just shutting down Trump, and them from the get go.

Remember how a few days ago we were saying that the Republicans would do this all again for the judges and the tax cuts? Lindsey Graham literally outlines all of that in a Press Conference yesterday. This video will start at that answer. "I have absolutely no regrets for helping this president make this country safer and more prosperous".

Seriously, as of right now, no it isn't. The window was wider in 2020 than in 2016, and that was wider than in 2000. It will take something major changing, such as a major flip in Texas, before that statement is untrue...and look how much they had to overcome in Georgia.

Things can change a great deal in four years. If Biden even has a moderately successful presidency in dealing with the pandemic and the economy, the political landscape will be drastically different. People may like four yeas of a more "laid back" presidency of Biden than the constant uproar of Trump. Additionally, it is hard to keep up with the constant lies of Trump in real time. Perhaps, all the lies will finally cause true disillusion when fully examined.

One thing I am fairly sure of is that I doubt that Cruz or Hawley will be able to claim the Trump mantle. I don't think either will get away with things as easily as Trump did.
