This also tells us Texas was never really in play for Dems

I think the Cuban community in Florida is significantly different from the Mexican community in Texas.

Texas is in play because of Dell, Tesla, Texas Instruments, Austin, transplants like me lol, and the border communities. As Texas cities grow we are becoming more blue.

The fact that pollsters are calling Texas a battleground feels good after 20 years of feeling my votes didn't count.

I have always lived in solidly blue areas of the state but I knew state wide it didn't matter. If feels great to think my candidates have a chance.

I went on my rant about the electoral college today, but I really think it could come back and bite R's in the ass in 8-12 years. A lot of states are quickly changing demos.

Which is another reason I support keeping it. It really doesn't favor one party over the other and moderates huge swings.
