Sanders vs. Trump would have been a much more interesting campaign, but not sure who would have prevailed in states like AZ, NV and the three Blue Wall Midwestern ones. pettie4sox
I see there was a phone call to concede but the race hasn't been called yet, interesting. The dems and their do nothing stand for nothing centrist candidates get shown the garbage bin. Not surprising.

CNN is estimating 80% reporting, Yahoo is at 64% They have almost identical vote figures. If Yahoo is right that is huge for Biden's chances. PA has been on that same number for 8-10 hours at Yahoo. I would trust NY Times, CNN or WaPo more. Yahoo is based on AP? Also, wonder if Yahoo is going to dare to reopen their comments sections on articles or wait at least until election is certified. Susan Collins was pretty much glass joe, Graham too... both super vulnerable if you ask me.
caulfield12
One positive, we don’t have to spend the next two years consumed with court packing arguments unless the Dems pick off one of those two GA races in January and/or unless Manchin, Murkowski or Collins side with them as well. That could all change if the Supreme Court really goes ahead and invalidates Obamacare next week. Ossoff in GA will have received more campaign funds than any Dem in modern political history to keep losing, lol. A judge told USPS to search mail for ballots by 3 p.m. on Election Day. USPS said no. 300,000 ballots under scrutiny https://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-told-usps-search-mail-141505704.html Now the USPS faces a discussion Wednesday about its "apparent lack of compliance with the Court's order," according to an order filed by Sullivan later Tuesday. Sullivan acknowledged the efforts underway and said he was inclined to let them continue. The facilities targeted were in central Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Detroit, Colorado/Wyoming, Atlanta, Houston, Alabama, Northern New England, Greater South Carolina, South Florida, Lakeland, and Arizona. Plaintiffs in the lawsuit, which includes the participation-focused group Vote Forward, have sought redress for reported mail delivery obstacles ahead of the election. Similarly, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel this summer joined a number of states in a federal lawsuit against the USPS after slowdowns in the mail service. The money was spent to make the GOP defend those seats so the GOP couldnt spend as much money on other more contested seats. Not buying this for one second; Susan Collins did not lead in a single poll. The Dems are devastated they lost they seat; they were 100% banking on it. You can argue the Graham and Mitch challenges were going to take time and they were trying to move the needle one election at a time, but that entire theory goes out the window with Collins losing. With people sick of money in politics, the Dems answer is to outspend to win. It's illogical.

Literally nothing ironic about the media pushing centrists talking points. It is to be expected. Just as they pretend all hispanics in southern florida are too stupid to think for themselves and see through the lies? It's just offensive. Identity politics is complete nonsense. Black people don't all think the same; Cubans aren't the same as Mexicans or Venezuelans. These are human beings. Also, everyone who doesn't support your candidate isn't an uneducated idiot; they're not all racist. People are tired of hearing that stuff. 1

So all the black people and hispanic people and minorities who voted Trump are racist morons? Because he grew voters in that demographic. The only place Trump lost voters this election was with White Males. Probably because HIllary was running last time and sexism still exists, but still. Open your ears and listen to the pain being screamed from those who have been left behind instead of judging them for their reactionary votes, and displaced anger. I would love to be sitting here looking at wins in Florida, NC, GA etc and saying "the country has moved left, we can now have a more liberal agenda." But what part of what has happened today or tonight suggests that is the case? In my opinion, nothing. The most important thing for the "liberal" party is to win elections. After you win the election then you can worry about your agenda. But so far I have seen nothing to suggests that more liberal candidates would have faired better in any of the elections that you pointed to. Do you have any evidence that a more liberal candidate would have out performed?
Look at Ray Ray Run
Why don't we talk about the Irish vote, the English Vote, the German vote the same way we talk about the hispanic and black vote? Instead, whites are always referred to and treated as free thinking whites who are unpredictable and vote on issues and not "race." As if they are some advanced intellectuals that look beyond background and focus on issues. Yet we constantly refer to minorities as one universal voting black that votes in unison absent issues or beliefs. It's nonsense and it's pushing people away from the party.
