Maybe he was thinking that he was at the end of the line anyway so he might as well roid up and risk getting caught to stay in the game? I'm surprised that a lot of other players don't do that TBH. I am not sure. The one positive about it is now they need to spend a bunch of money on a second baseman amongst other upgrades.
