tray Posted November 18, 2020 Share Posted November 18, 2020 Extensions were Jerry Reinsdorf's idea and his money. Reinsdorf met with Abreu and guaranteed he would be with the White Sox long term. Many posters here disagreed with Reinsdorf about that and thought Abreu should not be extended. Abreu was key to the sales pitch to the other Cuban nationals to sign on with the White Sox. .
