Harold's Leg Lift
Agents already saying they won't send their top guys. It will be a 2nd tier league.

Yeah seems like if you’re projected top 2 round pick, it would be a bad decision to play.

I've heard it's a wood bat league too. Any other details out there, like location? As an adopted Masshole, I really enjoy the Cape Cod League and the mystique it has out here. It's a huge deal for those communities (and players, families, etc) in the summer. MLB creating a competing league that they themselves own just screams of an unfortunate cash grab to me.

Mahoning Valley, Trenton, Williamsport, State College and West Virginia. Another unnamed team will be added. Yes it's a wood bat league and any draft eligible player can participate. Graduating HS seniors, college Jr's and sr's and JC's. Too many changes going on at the same time so they're bound to F it up. 1
Quin
This is basically March Madness if the top dudes were like "I'm guaranteed to go in the first round, so nah."
ChiliIrishHammock24
68 games? The fuck? I'm being lazy by not finding a link, but I assume they mean 68 games in total, not per team? Like a tournament?

My question is who fills in when/if players are drafted? College Freshman and Sophomores are playing in the new league formed with old Appy league teams.
ChiSoxJon
Not sure how I feel about this On one hand, cool opportunity for ballplayers and fans On the other hand, it's weirder and weirder to see the professionalism of athletes get younger and younger
