southsider2k5
With the tone from Rodon's wife, I would be kind of surprised if we re-engage him, I wouldn't mind a cheap deal for Mazara.

This board would have melted down if Mazara was tendered. I wouldn't mind him back as cheap insurance but tendering him would have signaled that the Sox aren't going to spend on a RF. Nokona
Really wish it worked for Los. You could see it in fits and starts but it never came together. Hope he has a good career in the NL.
fathom
Rodon, Fulmer, Cease and Lopez should pose with Cooper in a pic like the 2005 guys did.

Southwest Sider
Given that Mazara still is young and talented, I wouldn't mind him around on a minor league deal and as an injury reserve for Eloy and whoever our new RF is. But I'm guessing some team will give him a starting chance first. I don't know what Rodon was going to make but he wasn't and isn't worth it until he proves he can succeed. Yeah, he's had injuries, but when he is healthy he hasn't been great. For a lower price, I would love to see if he can put it together now that his major injuries are (hopefully) behind him. You really assign that much value to a pitching coach? Rodon was constantly hurt. Fulmer was flaming out in the minors. Cease is still a kid and Lopez always had red flags and a live arm. Cooper's obviously a mixed bag, but I wouldn't look at any of those 4 pitchers and place the blame on a single person as their issues were all unique. Hell, Cooper spent so little time with Fulmer that he probably doesn't remember his name.
daggins
Mazara will probably kick around the MLB for another year as a part time player and then try his luck in Korea/Japan. Carlos's arm just might be done at this point, he's had two major surgeries and he's barely in his late 20s.

I felt he tried too hard to make every pitcher into the same type of guy.

I’d take him back at like $2.5M to serve as a backup in the corners and partial DH option, but doubt he’d go for that.
