I think it's pretty clear there will be some form of fan restriction if they start playing games on April 1st. I think they better start soon with these labor negotiations, because if they wait until like February, we will see the same ugly situation we saw this year, where the delay will be purely about money.

And of course all this is happening right when the White Sox contention window opens :(

Not sure why the voter poll listed the MLBPA as having any role in nixxing 102 games last year. Players were willing to play a full schedule, the pathetic owners are the ones who cancelled most of the season last year, and will cancel as many games as possible this year.

If it were up to Jerry, he'd have a 20 game 2021 regular season if restrictions are lifted, ten games vs. Cubs at home, ten vs. Cubs at Wrigley, followed by four months of playoffs.

In the end, it was pretty clear that both sides were being greedy and stubborn. Owners were definitely the ones to blame in the beginning, but in the end the PA was being just as stubborn as the owners were.

There's a metric shit ton of distrust there. Can you blame them?

The MLBPA thinks that whatever financial things the owners claim is bullshit because they refuse to share their books. Oh yeah? You lost $130M Middleton? Prove it.

That's what the MLBPA is asking for, proof of the losses. Without proof, the MLBPA calls shenanigans and I don't blame them at all.

TV revenue alone exceeds player payroll. Then you've 3 billion in annual merchandising sales. MLB "lost revenue" like a ten million dollar player player who ended up getting paid around four million lost six million. Forget he still got paid four million, he lost six million. Must be in the poor house.

If I gave you a foot stool you could reach for some higher fruit.

In the end, it's billionaires and millionaires fighting over money...and the fans are defending them...
