Ok so according to you:

Steve Stone doesn’t have info like people think he does (even though he has always been right)

and

The guy who literally had a move a couple of days ago is full of it.

Stone has always been right? He recently stopped just short of announcing Hinch as the next manager on Twitter (unless TLR was an MLB catcher at some point in his career..)...and if you wanna believe the guy who was was dragged and shamed on Twitter into freezing his account at the trade deadline last season for being wrong about everything ...knock yourself out. He didn't have the Dunning trade more than anybody else in the know but he is the guy that sent half a transaction to Passan who confirmed he received a DM.

Of course it was and he didn't.

Didn't Jeff Passan confirm that NSC was legit (at least regarding the Dunning deal)?

EDIT: Never mind. Didn't see the response before I sent the above

You have to look at ‘22-23 projected payroll to determine available funds for any multi year contracts. With Eaton and Lynn, ‘21 payroll is still lower than projected payroll for those years so they have little effect on ability to sign multi year contracts. That’s why Hahn said signing Eaton allows payroll flexibility to make further deals

If I recall, right before they signed LaRussa he started going down that path and arguing with people about signing LaRussa.

What is going to be interesting is the Stone Pony's take when LaRussa changes his plea to guilty on the DUI charge. He was making a big deal out of innocent until proven guilty when the news came out despite blood tests and police write ups.

TLR will plead guilty to a lesser charge. It probably won't be an official DUI.

Says the guy who stands behind NotCishek at the urinal trying to catch a glimpse of his tiny pecker while waiting for an autograph opportunity.

Stone actually has connections.  To everyone, most likely.

That’s quite a first sentence?

At least this insult wasn’t 5 pages long. Mods- who was that user who wrote long posts in italics that got banned? Are we sure this isn’t the same guy?

The good news is that last two times (mid 90's and mid-00's) when the White Sox had great teams JR spent for top five payrolls.  Top five payroll now means $175 million...and we are only at $100 mill with the raises...so there is a TON of upside potential for our payroll.   I think something big is going to happen.

If something big was really going to happen we wouldn't be shopping at the 99 cent store for a starting RF.

His response will be:

1. Crickets

2. "He has paid the price and his debt to society, Tony is a man of his word and I believe him when he says he won't do that again."

3. He will blame Ricky Renteria.

That's debatable. Tony has been caught twice that we know of, the question is how many times he drove drunk without being caught, or being caught and let off because he is a "legit hall of famer", "brother". I mean seriously, who smashes his car so bad against a curb it is left inoperable.

Ricky's bullpen performed well throughout the season with mostly scraps and unknowns, and nearly $17M wasted on Herrera and Gonzalez including buyouts. An illustration of why you can't waste $8M on a aging 4th OFer at best like Eaton.

Why?   Isn't it possible that management is about to sign Colas...and think Adolfo or Lugo with a real minor league season give us a bright future in RF without spending $125 million for a 31 year old who had his best hitting season when he knew what pitches were coming?  What if we trade for Yelich?  What if we sign Bauer?  I just don't get the Sox hatred...the off season isn't done.   They have proven that they will be a top five spending team if they are real good.   Might it not be a better time to go shopping at the trade deadline where we see how our minor league guys develop...and see how Eaton performs?  We don't have to race in and throw our money at the first pretty face we see.
