SuperSteve
I keep getting a ton of random pop-ups. It is just as a whole, I am not saying this site. Even when I am not on any website, and have internet explorer closed, I still get tons of pop-ups. All the "trust this website" things pop-up too. I have the pop-up stopper, but it doesn't seem to be working well. What do I do?

If so, you need to turn off windows messaging. In XP, you go to start, control panel, administrative tools, services, then in the services menu, you'll see a list of things, scroll down to messenger, right click, select properties, a box will popup, make sure service status is set to stopped and make sure startup type is set to disabled. And to think, some people are paying money for a program to take care of those kinda popups, which are easily fixed with those simple steps. DonkeyKongerko
Go to download.com then search and download a great free program called spybot-search and destroy. This is truly a great program. Also has a little feature that prevents web sites from installing most of those hidden spyware bots.
