Sleepy Harold
I guess that would explain why we've barely seen him all spring.

Chicago White Sox
That came out of nowhere. It’s a hit to the depth department, but probably the best area to take a hit. Also, one less 40 man roster spot to open up.

Ricky made fans hate Jimmy by overusing the hell out of him and putting him in a bunch of crappy situations. And now he's gotta get TJS. raBBit
Team player. Wish him the best in his recovery. As others have said, Ricky abused him and it ended up tanking his stats. Whether it was coming into a jam, coming in for mop up work or putting one in Contreras' ribs, Jimmy always did what he was asked.

South Side Hit Men
Was Kopech TJ Ricky's fault as well? The biggest competition this Spring is not who will win the final roster spots. but rather who will serve as scapegoat for this season and beyond. Certainly can't be La Russa or Hahn, they are among the GOATs of MLB, if not HOF human beings. Guess Kenny Williams will resume his role from Hahn's first four seasons, when the Sox were "trying", and by golly they almost finished .500 that one year but fell only six games short. Oh, I forgot, Ricky was the bench coach in 2016, definitely his fault.
HOFHurt35
Very under-appreciated piece of the bullpen last year regardless of his stats. Answered the bell every time called.

Blackout Friday
I hope everyone donated to unicef this Halloween so Jerry can afford to pay some unfortunate islander to buy a baseball glove and fill a roster spot.

Ricky had 3 and a half starters and Cordero was one of the guys who had to fill out for that. Not saying Ricky managed the pen great but that starting pitching situation always meant some guys would be overused. Somebody needed to throw those innings. C’mon man they had detwiler who was pitching pretty damn good and Ricky refused to use him. It was very obvious that Cordero was his whipping boy

Cordero was the second best Sox pitcher during the playoffs, only topped by Giolito.

Obviously SSS, but Detwiler was starting to be exposed before he was cut (declining K rate, with increasing BB & hard hit rates). This is where is scouting comes into play and I’m fairly confident our scouts didn’t feel Detwiler could replicate his flashes of success going forward. If he pitched that much every month, that would be an 84 appearance year. No pitcher has appeared in 84 games since 2011.
