Let’s just put Adolfo out there...well, we KNOW it will end up being Leury and Engel, but would actually like to have something to be excited about, albeit temporarily.

Temporarily? And Adolfo may be more injury prone than Eloy. Is he even playing this spring?

Well, if he gets hurt again, it proves once and for all we can never rely upon him.

God forbid a starting pitcher also goes down the first two months...the season will be in real jeopardy unless they’re willing to push Kopech into the rotation out of desperation.

They could be decent and let us see Yoke play a few games out there.

Ok if they think anything of any of these triple league players now would be there time , but they are all horrible , none will make it this is why people are bringing up cespedes and Vaughn and trades. These other guys are nothing only triple a players who fill out a roster and will eventually get released when a back fill of draft picks come in.

Yeah...but like....with Abreu and Vaughn...he can’t DH. So he’s the LF until Abreu is no longer here. Which is why extending Jose never made much sense as anyone with a mind saw this problem coming, but obviously year 1 of that deal sure went well fo him.

Truthfully not sure what else they can unless they want to trade Vaughn which also makes no sense.

edit: missing a word

What say you now?

The Sox drafted one 5 tool player in the last 20 years and traded him for an expensive, broken down  pitcher.

Their MO is DH's.

At least 4 players on this roster could be permanent DH with Eloy leading the way.

This dufus organization won't be satisfied until they ruin his career for good.

Now he's out for practically the entire season as the result of trying to make him into something that he clearly is not.

Well done Kenny-Hahn-Tony.

Are you referring to He Who Shall Not Be Named?

Signed but never actually saw play in an official MiLB game...

I’d like to see them trade for Gallo. It will cost something of value, but that can be recouped next off-season by dealing from a surplus once Eloy is presumably healthy. We’ve waited long enough, let’s go for it.

100% agree. I would give them Kopech if that is what it takes. Gallo plays good D, Left handed, and is pretty much a lock for 3 to 4 WAR.

I'm tired of waiting as well. No more kicking the can down the road and half ass measures. Time to dominate the AL central is right now!!!!!!

Jose Abreu won the 2020 AL MVP. Signing the MVP always makes sense.

What's crazy is that with all the ridicule I took for being pessimistic about this year, the one obvious potential danger I didn't list on my bullet points of things to be worried about... is the one that happened. Before the season even starts. Kinda numb, don't know whether to yell or laugh at the absurdity.
