Colas is coming

Very good.

Once he comes in, he can spend 2022 in the minors, and start in LF in 2023. By that time, Vaughn will be at 1B and Eloy can be the DH.

Plus a good LH bat with reported 55 hit and 60 power is great.

Leaving Abreu where?  I don’t see him leaving the organization when this deal is up.

Its unlikely he can outlast aging curves beyond his current deal. And even if he is kept by JR for emotional reasons, that doesn't mean he will be getting consistent ABs....esp with Eloy and  Vaughn in their primes.

With the plethora of LH pitching options (knock on wood)... unless he's a starter with 95 mph heater and big Sale-esque slurve...Oscar should be spending all his time getting into even better physical shape (most of the way there already) and mastering the art of RF play and hitting extreme velocity pitching he didn't see in Japan or Cuba.

You must be late to the party, but he’s gotten himself into amazing shape.  And I don’t think there’s any chance in hell we use Colas as a pitcher, but that plus arm will help even if in LF.

Yeah, I saw that video, body fat % is way down, decreased time to 1B, etc.  It's quite encouraging.   Being around professional training and nutrition staff will really benefit him as well.  And certainly not every Cuban can be transformed into the Winter Soldier like Luis Robert.

"Rick, Let me get this straight, because I'm hard of hearing as you know. You mean to tell me we can get Texas to eat the remaining contract for guys like Castillo and Jones, and in return we also end up spending far less on International players? Way the hell are we not doing this every season?"

An ad for porkless, veggie "pork" rinds? Is that what you've googled recently? I admire your willingness to provide some inside info Pal, but I lost a little respect based on that ad.

Knocked out carbs. Desperate times.

This reminds me of the guy who asked why he kept seeing gay porn ads.
