Dick Allen
One thing they could do to save time is make managers signal to the bullpen before they get inside the baseline. The bullpen knows what is going to happen, give them walkie talkies if you have to. Quit wasting time letting the guy walk to the mound, have a long conversation and then go to the bullpen. You can probably save 5 minutes a game streamlining that particular act, and moving it into the 21st century.
NebSox36
I’m not a fan of the 7 innings double header either especially when it’s a split day/night mlb is meant to play 9 innings and if it’s tied to play normal baseball until said game is over!

FWIW, I am not a fan of that either, but I also don't believe that COVID is just over - take a look at the entire Vancouver Canucks team being down right now with the Brazilian variant of this thing. We don't know how many vaccine refusers there are on these teams (although the White Sox said nearly all their guys got it on yesterday's broadcast). Like it or not, you need to have a backup plan on the books in case some team has a major outbreak and misses 2 weeks of play - either they're forfeiting games somehow, or you need a way to handle an enormous number of double-headers without everyone's arms falling off. That's a minor complaint compared to everything else we have had to deal with this year. 2022 (if baseball happens), yeah I'd much prefer 9 inning DHs. Tie after the 11th perhaps. Something has to be done to limit super long games and to preserve pitcher's arms. Get the strike zone right and plays right.
