So I imagine Sunday's games become 7 inning affairs, and that is 3 games in a 22 hour period.

And it's against Boston so no matter what each game will be four hours, even the 7 inning games

Gives Cease an extra day off and our pitching is better so it's a win.

But their pitching is also better off since they played 4 games against Minny in 3 days going into tonight.  But both face a doubleheader Sunday and an 11:00 am on Monday which will be interesting

So, is this what we get:

Saturday: Cease

Sunday 1: Keuchel

Sunday 2: Lopez or Bullpen

Monday: Giolito

Tuesday: Rodon

Wednesday: Lynn

Is there some reason why Luca$ can't go for the second game on Sunday? He'd be on N ormal rest there, Rodon would be on normal rest on Monday, Lynn would be on normal rest on Tuesday.

Gio/Rodon/Lynn could all be moved up a day and be on normal rest, but then for Wednesday you have Cease on short rest, Lopez, or a bullpen game, and I'd rather have the Lopez/bullpen game be a 7 inning game against a non-division opponent.

That's true. Honestly let Kopech make the start and hope he goes 3.

I obviously haven't been seeing Lopez throw so I have no idea if he's an option for the 27th guy or if they need to just go with Kopech and other relievers.

The way Lopez was pitching in the spring, starting him is likely to mean a bullpen game anyway.

Do we know the games will be 7 innings?
