I still dont understand how a world class athlete like this has his hip flexor fucked to that point. Does this mean he was completely inflexible there? Or is it just terrible luck? He was full sprint, that seems to have been what did it somehow.

edit: im clearly in the denial/anger phase of the grieving process

It was the trip and the weird extension at the end that did it. It wasn't during the act of normal running.

We are now talking semantics. The bottom line regardless of the terminology, some of the players could be stretched out better.

It's not semantics. One causes injuries and one will prepare the body for physical exertion. It's a fine line but a big difference.

You're going to post it or do we need to go look for it?

He literally tweeted a the "everything is fine gif" with the housing burning down.  Nothing of substance.

Well the one that will properly prepare them for physical exertion as you say...isn't being educated to some of these Sox players. Even Tim Anderson said after he came back off the DL, he was going to be more responsible in his preparation to avoid future hamstring strains.

It looks like this season is going to go down the shitter before it even really started.

Hopefully Tony will quit, and hopefully the Sox can get something nice for Lynn and Rodon.

You're a clown dude.  The Sox at 15-12, 1.5 GB of the fucking Royals and our biggest competition in 10-16.

Get a fucking grip on reality.

ok, 4:00 local time, no official updates yet?

If the news were good we would know by now. Assume the worst. Many say we are still a playoff team without Robert but I don't see it at this point. Guys are gonna have to step up quick. No more slow starts it is time to ball.

A few years ago on vacation we staggered into a car dealership right after blowing out our van's transmission in a rainstorm 500 miles from home.

That dealership = every other MLB front office watching the Sox right now.

What is at 4:00?  An update?

No, I'm just noting that we're approaching the end of the business day and the team said there would be an update today. At the very least he had an MRI, so we should get some sort of statement.

That's not going to last if Robert is out for most or all of the year along with Eloy.

Abreu, Moncada and Anderson can't carry the offense by themselves.

Even if Grandal gets going it might not be enough. The Sox only saving grace is that the Twins might suck this year even with Buxton going off.

Who? Leury? Hamilton? Lamb? Even if Abreu and Grandal step it up and play closer to their career norms I don’t think this team’s got enough to win the division if Eloy and Luis are out for nearly the whole season.
