Vaughn has such a great swing, tip your cap to Cole, dude is the best in the league imho

These games are when you need your SP to match their guy, Cease will never be that guy. Way too shaky mentally ala Gavin Floyd

Vaughn isn’t getting it done against RHP.  Not sure how much longer they can keep him out there full time.

We had run into some beat able pitchers before this series , but the lineup isn’t able to manufacture runs very well. I think the playoffs  could be disappointing when that consistent pitching beats them down. Whoever they put in the outfield in the future needs speed, especially on the bases. Hopefully it is Cespedes.

As I was saying earlier, he lost the edge mentally on ump calls right before the doubles, the walk turned his mind. He always looks as if he is searching for his happy place on the mound. Sometimes he retreats to the dark side.

he will be fine over the long run, but a contender needs more production out of the corner of spots I agree, if the Sox were serious they would trade for Haniger or Gallo and let Vaughn play the rest of the year in AAA as a RF, as that's his likely spot in 22

Vaughn might be the most overrated rookie on the Sox since Brian Anderson.  Soon he might be hitting below the Mendoza line as someone pointed out.

Most of our players do not have respectable batting averages. Collins and Grandal? Leury, Hamilton, Eaton, Lamb, Mendick..

LOB is a joke for some guys who you would expect to be knocking in key runs.

OBP is OK for say Grandal, but you have to hit if you want to compete for a championship and you need a lot of home runs.

w/o Eloy and Robert and a reliable bullpen,  this is beginning to look like a middle of the road team that has boosted its current W/L record against sub .500 teams.

Your favorite manager did a wonderful job of killing the momentum as well

I can just feel a long stretch of Ls coming. You knew it was, just was hoping it would be a bit later to give robert and eloy some time to get back.

when TA is hitting, the team is winning, wise words to remember from a sage (me)
