Right. If Leury had to get in the game, how about for Lamb vs the lefty?

Just weird shit.

And the excuse from the LaRussa stans is "The guy is in the HOF, it's easy to armchair quarterback on the internet."

It's such a lazy response. Access to information has never been easier. The point is it IS EASY to to armchair quarterback because unless we are talking about unknown injuries, we're working with 95% of the same information the ML dugout has....and this stuff seems pretty obvious a lot of times.

Seems like a lot of contradictory thinking around here, almost like buyer's remorse.

"Be positive! We have arguably the best team is baseball!"

Then it shifts to:

"Be positive! We can still EASILY win this division! Just keep beating up on shitty AL Central teams! Look at our run differential!"

Weird. Almost like a total forfeit of the prior model of thinking. Sorry, I'm not happy just aiming for a Division win when I know our division SUCKS.

Toxic positivity otherwise you’re actively rooting for them to lose.

It's the easiest cop-out, it applies to everything by design so therefore it is the ultimate lazy go-to.

Or it's that these people really don't know anything about baseball themselves so they think the old 76 yo HOFer who hasn't managed in over 10 years HAS to know better than anyone.

The thought process is bizarre.

Really, it's like Trumpism. Just embrace the positivity because facing the reality of the situation is too scary or hard to accept.

Dear Tony,

Heuer is better than Ruiz.

Great changeup there.

TLR had no business putting in Ruiz with our backs against the wall...might ultimately be the deciding run.

Part of the blame has to go on the starting pitching last two games though. Cease and Kuechel both had bad starts and the bullpen is being asked to cover a lot of innings.
