I still blame Robin Ventura for trying to get by with Scott Carroll in that 8th inning instead of using a better reliever. Yeah I remember thinking how the hell we were 13 games over .500 that year. The bullpen was nails until the Texas game and Mat Latos was somehow getting it done in April while barely throwing 90. There's a reason why we tore the team down after that season, outside of the core of Sale, Q, Abreu, and Eaton it was just a bunch of random veterans who played above expectations in April and then came crashing down to earth. Had a nice SSS run at the beginning, but when it turned it was obvious they were not a serious contender, but then they decided to make that one trade... don’t even hardly remember who was in that one.
