Tony is a clown ?

That's not a fair comparison...this is a longer season ?

No.

You don't give outs to a guy who can't get outs.

It's not giving outs away. If it's a good bunt, you are forcing the defense to make a tough play. Like I said, against Holland, yeah let them swing away, but generally, it isn't giving away an out

Mendick has been hitting like shit.. but if we go back from now to when Ricky was bunting a lot a few  years ago.

It's overwhelmingly failed to work - if you have been watching the games over this time then you know this.

It's a strategy that has failed over and over again.

Benetti and Stoney couldn’t believe we were bunting.  Stoney said if they were going to bunt it had to be to third not to first.  TLR also doubled down on the bunt with 2 batters in a row. LaRussa is on a time machine to the 20th century.  Giving up an out nowadays to a crappy bullpen is a blunder. For TLR’s sake hope the Sox come back on this game.  Sox deserves a better manager like Alex Cora or AJ Hinch even with their baggage.Time has gone by for TLR.

For those that say managers don’t have a large impact, they typically don’t if they don’t routinely insert themselves into the game.  Bunting in the 6th inning against a pitcher incapable of getting outs is just plain dumb and may end up costing us.  Let’s hope the hitters battle back in spite of Tony’s horrible in-game decisions.

Sacrifice bunts end up in an out 100% of the time. If you're trying to make the Tigers make a mistake...you're really leaving it up to chance.
