It really feels like we are seeing the results when these guys didn't have access to top level conditioning for a long period of time.  We can look at the Sox, but the number of these injuries around baseball right now is insane.  It almost has to be COVID related somehow, most likely due to not having major league training going on during the lockdowns and winter.

So it's not just the Sox?

Sad for Madrigal.

Either way, Sox are the best team in their division.  Win it, get in the playoffs and see what happens.  The pitching is good enough to win a 7 game series against anyone.  Season is not over or "cursed", geez.

It depends on whether or not you think this team can win the WS. I don't. There's no guarantee that Robert and Jimenez return this year.

No it doesn't.  Getting to the playoffs again is a huge deal to this franchise.

If there was a chance that Robert/Jimenez could return by the ASB then my opinion would be different. They might be back in September, and that is if they have no setbacks.

Not trading Lynn/Rodon if they can't be extended is a fireable offense.

Again You can get away with a lot when you have two guys pitching like they wanna win the cy young, a third who was projected as the best pitcher in baseball, a fourth who has found himself, and a fifth who is a solid guy.

Oh yep...here we are again in another injury thread and the talk about selling comes up. They might not resign Moncada and Abreu. Let's trade them too. Get a head start on the next rebuild.

They're idiots. A smart FO would totally punt this season.

Might want to back away from the keyboard for awhile, Jack.  The Sox resigning Adam Laroche would be much more popular than your idea.

It's trading 1 year where you lost 3 starters to long-term injury for an opportunity to extend the window further.

Ouch. This means it's the common origin of all the hamstrings it's a tougher rehab than Engle. Explains the conservative nature of going straight to the 60 day IL

TLR did not come here to throw away a season....Jerry would not do that to his good buddy.

I mean he's currently managing a first place team, maybe we can trade him for a second baseman?
